The Dr Jürgen Ulderup Prize, established in 1998, honours outstanding achievements in the field of engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. The prize is named after Dr Jürgen Ulderup, a visionary entrepreneur who founded Lemförder Metallwaren after the Second World War and maintained close ties with the university from the 1980s onwards. His commitment gave rise to a desire to support talented students. The prize particularly recognises the top graduates of each year’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, as well as PhD graduates.
