Praxisseminar Fabrikplanung

The two-day practical seminar on factory planning provides comprehensive foundational knowledge on designing adaptable factories. From factory analysis and structural planning to layout planning, participants in this training course learn how factories are designed today to meet the needs of the future. Practical examples and workshops round out the program.

During the hands-on seminar, participants will learn:

  - the process model for factory planning,

  - how to conduct a material flow analysis,

  - how to structure a factory effectively,

  - how to develop a layout step by step, and

  - what modularity means.

The training seminar is aimed at specialists and managers from manufacturing companies and takes place once or twice a year. The seminar is organized by the Institute for Integrated Production Hannover (IPH) gGmbH and the Institute for Factory Systems and Logistics (IFA), two research and consulting institutions in the fields of production engineering, factory planning, and production management. The seminar is part of the Production Academy of the Scientific Society for Production Engineering (WGP).

The concept and content of the training event are based on intensive, practice-oriented research and many years of consulting experience in the design of modern factories, for example in the areas of layout planning or warehouse organization.
