Discover science and technology at Girls' Day and Boys' Day at the Hannover Centre for Production Technology

On Future Day, 25 April 2024, pupils aged between 11 and 15 will have the opportunity to discover exciting insights into science and technology at the Hanover Centre for Production Technology.

Experience science and technology at first hand at the IFUM

Several institutes of the PZH at Leibniz Universität Hannover will be presenting exciting projects for curious pupils on Future Day, which is dedicated to stereotype-free career and study guidance. The IFUM is also taking part and opening its experimental halls to participants.

The Institute of Forming Technology and Forming Machines (IFUM) invites participants to discover the diverse aspects of forming technology in an experimental way. Pupils can conduct their own experiments and find out what forces are required, for example, to emboss a coin with a logo. Current research projects will then be presented, including a multi-stage forming process. Current approaches in the field of sheet metal forming will also be presented.

Program and registration

The program is centrally organized and held at the PZH , and participants are welcome from 8.30 am. The event begins at 9 am with a brief introduction to PZH, followed by an opportunity for attendees to explore the institutes and labs. The event will end around 12:45, when certificates of participation will be handed out.
