Maustag at IFUM – Doors open for children on the 3rd of October

On the 3rd of October, IFUM, together with the Collaborative Research Center 1153, will open its doors to children as part of the "Doors Open with the Mouse" campaign of the German TV show "Sendung mit der Maus".

Under this year's motto "SpielZeit" (Playtime), we want to show how closely research, development and creative thinking are linked. Children will experience how technology is created, where science begins - and why research is sometimes like playing.

What can children expect at the IFUM?

• Coin minting to take away
• Craft station with MUFI, our jumping meerkat
• Exciting insights into the machines and processes of forming technology
• Interactive activities and small experiments

Our goal is to make technology accessible and give young visitors a first insight into the world of research. No previous knowledge is required - just curiosity.

Time slots: 9 am / 10 am (fully booked) / 11 am / 1 pm / 2 pm, with a maximum of 10 children per slot
