Within the framework of the project described here, specifications are being drawn up for the automated handling of all materials for flexible module production. Concepts for handling will be created, the individual handling steps will be coordinated and optimised with regard to cycle times and costs. A digital twin of the process chain is being created, which will then form the basis for implementation as part of future projects. A main focus of investigation is on the handling processes of the glass elements and the lamination foils. Despite their flexible geometry, these fragile or flexible materials must be picked up and placed safely and quickly. The quality in which this is achieved has a very high influence on the process reliability and the possible cycle rates. In addition, the requirements for the interfaces between the different systems are to be determined from the concepts developed.
