Robot-assisted Assembly and Handling Operations

In this research area, we develop task-optimized robot structures for use in handling, assembly and manufacturing automation. Our institute covers the complete product development process of a robot system. Thus, in addition to structure and dimension synthesis, the kinematic and dynamic modeling of robots, their programming, control and optimization are also done at the match.

We also develop process-adapted grippers and select and design the required clamping and feeding technology. Furthermore, we design machine- and application-oriented control functionalities, even for machines not developed in-house.
